About the HP Board

Constituted in the year 1969, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) aims to work for providing excellent quality of secondary and higher secondary education to all the schools that are affiliated with it. Its erstwhile headquarters was Shimla. However, in the year 1983, it was shifted to Kangra district. The board conducts 10th and 12th class exam, every year in the state. Lakhs of the students appear in the exam every year.
